A one-off engagement rather than a subscription: we run Code Maps over your repository and hand back a written inspection — what the grade means, which districts carry the risk, which hotspots to touch first, and what it would cost to fix. Useful before a funding round, an acquisition, or a rewrite argument.
No. There is no billing anywhere in Code Maps. Write to us and you join the waitlist; we will tell you before anything starts to cost money.
No. It is the whole product under the MIT licence, and it stays that way. Clone it, run it, fork it. Cloud charges for what costs money to operate — hosting, keeping history, watching repositories — not for unlocking the viewer.
New analyses wait for the next cycle and everything already analysed stays open, with its history. Overage is never charged automatically: if you need more, you move up a plan or write to us.
In the open-source edition it uses your own Anthropic key and you pay Anthropic per use. In Cloud every plan includes a number of questions per month; with your own key there is no cap.
The planned design is to analyse in an isolated environment that is destroyed when it finishes, and to keep only the results: metrics, findings with file:line and the grade. If that is not enough, Enterprise runs inside your network and the open-source edition on your machine.
A codebase big enough that nobody holds it in their head, and someone who will tell us bluntly which parts of the map are useless. In exchange you get the paid features early and a say in what gets built.
On your machine, none from a plan: the code is open and the only cap is technical (10k files, adjustable with CODEMAP_MAX_FILES). In Cloud, where analysis runs on our machines, the free plan analyses repositories of up to 2k source files, and 5k across all of them, which covers the vast majority of projects and microservices; Solo reaches 10k per repository, Team 50k, and Enterprise has no cap. Open-source projects with a public repository go up to 25k at no cost, as an intent: there is no way to request it yet.
