The software

Code Maps is released under the MIT licence. That licence governs the software itself: you may use, copy, modify and distribute it, including commercially, as long as the copyright notice travels with it. Where this page and the licence disagree, the licence wins.

This website

These pages describe the software and are provided as they are. Screenshots show real analyses of public repositories; the numbers in them belong to those repositories at the time the screenshot was taken and are not a claim about yours.

What you are responsible for

Code Maps runs on your machine with your permissions, over repositories you point it at. You are responsible for:

• having the right to analyse the code you give it;
• your own API key and the usage it incurs with Anthropic;
• what you do with the findings, including how you handle any real secret it discovers.

No warranty

The grade, the scores, the debt hours and the findings are heuristics and third-party tool output. They can be wrong in both directions: a clean city is not a security certificate, and a red one is not proof of a breach. Code Maps is provided without warranty of any kind, and nothing it produces is a compliance attestation, a penetration test, or professional advice.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the author is not liable for any loss arising from using Code Maps or relying on its output. The MIT licence's own disclaimer applies in full.

Paid plans

No paid plan is available. Nothing on this site takes payment or creates a subscription, and the prices shown for Pro, Team and Enterprise are intentions, not offers. If that changes, terms for those plans will be published before anyone can be charged.

Changes

These terms are a draft and will change as the project grows. The current version is always the one on this page, and the repository's history records what changed and when.
